I have been recently diagnosed with Non-Celiac Gluten Sensitivity (NCGS). Despite the fact that I knew gluten-containing grains such as wheat, rye and barley do not agree with me at all, I hesitated to avoid them completely for too long. After I undergone food intolerance testing, it was clear, gluten is out of my diet, 100 %. I see patients in my clinic on regular basis with symptoms related to gluten sensitivity such as brain fog, muscle pain, joint pain, headaches, eczema, fatigue or foggy mind. Gluten free diet is always on the top of my treatment plan list, but it wasn’t until I was actually diagnosed myself to appreciate what a big lifestyle change gluten free diet is. I have literally gone through a mourning process because of the love of bread. I now more than ever understand my patients, and I am more than ever able to support and guide them through the long therm process of overcoming the difficulties going “gluten free”. I am very excited about sharing with you my affair with gluten, I will be posting much more information on what gluten sensitivity is and gluten related issues, as well as tasty recipes that I have discovered, tried and tested as well as gluten free products, cosmetics and even supplements, so keep tuned in.
